About loading

Desktop Client enables you to import production, typically provided by third parties, directly into the review phase of a project. When importing data, you create a load template that contains the following information.

• Location of the DAT, OPT, and LST (MASM Listing) files
• Field and character delimiters for DAT files
• Mappings from the import fields to Epiq Discovery fields

After entering the load template information, you validate the file locations and field mappings against the ready-to-import production data. If errors occur, you can fix the errors and rerun the validation. When the import passes validation, you upload the files.
